Oxygen Plus (O+) is excited to announce its membership with “1% for the Planet” –  the non-profit environmental organization connecting people and companies to vetted non-profits dedicated to improving the environment. Co-founded in 2002 by Patagonia visionary, Yvon Chouinard, 1% for the Planet represents a large and growing number of like-minded individuals and brands who are committed to doing business sustainably, and are willing to invest real dollars toward solutions that are effectively restoring and protecting our planet.

Through our partnership, O+ will commit one percent (1%) of our annual revenue to initiatives focused on reducing air pollution and improving the quality of our everyday air. O+ will fulfill its commitment in two actionable ways:

1. Clean Air:  O+ will contribute to causes and organizations that are effectively solving the clean air crisis. Examples include oxygen-enriched, carbon-reducing initiatives such as planting trees and keeping our oceans clean and beaches trash-free.

2. Crisis Response:  O+ will support crisis relief groups and organizations affected by and/or combating the effects of air pollution-related to climate change. Examples include donating canned oxygen to firefighters and/or people suffering from inhaling harmful smoke and particulate matter from wildfires.

Oxygen Plus Founder, Christine Warren, shared her excitement about the partnership:

In addition to a financial contribution, Oxygen Plus employees are also excited to get their hands dirty, and volunteer. This month, O+ team members will plant trees in Southern Minnesota with The Nature Conservancy – one of many impactful entitles connected to 1% for the Planet who is combating air pollution.
