    Position Summary:

    The hands-on Controller will be responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all financial and accounting records of Oxygen Plus including payroll.  This position will prepare and maintain all financial statements, stock ledgers, monthly reconciliations, and some ad hoc analysis of the company’s financials.  This position will work with the executive team to manage budgets, cash flow, and year end accounting procedures.

    Position Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or equivalent.
    • 5+ years of accounting experience
    • 3+ years of payroll experience
    • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals
    • Extensive critical thinking, analytical and decision making skills
    • Must be able to professionally work with confidential information
    • Advanced Excel experience
    • Experience in a manufacturing and/or production environment preferred
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to handle complex accounting processes
    • Ability to support and develop action plans that align with the company’s strategic operational goals
    • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with diverse personalities
    • Highly organized and goal oriented
    • Detail oriented with excellent accuracy

    Responsibilities:

    • Process and manage all company payroll activities to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing and reporting as well as compliance with all laws, tax remittances, or other requirements.
    • Reconcile bank statements and all balance sheet accounts on monthly basis to ensure compliance and accuracy. Ensure general ledger data is classified accurately and all transactions recorded.
    • Responsible for accurate and timely completion of all AP and AR activities including: vendor and bill entries, reporting, and filing are up to date, deposit entries, matching of deposits with invoices, and ensure invoices paid only when complete documentation and approvals are obtained.
    • Proactively reconcile variances between order processing and financial systems.
    • Reporting (e.g., aged invoices weekly, D&B monthly, sales report monthly, AP weekly, product mix reporting and custom reports as requested; inventory reporting, e-commerce P&L reporting by marketplace monthly; monthly goal progress reporting; sales commission reporting).
    • Work with the executive team on Cash Flow management and prioritization. Including preparing and maintaining a 13-week cash flow projection.
    • Responsible for employing generally accepted accounting principles and best practices.
    • Monthly financial statement preparation and review with executive team. Work closely with management to ensure critical financial requirements of the company are handled timely, accurately and in the best interest of the company.
    • Manage year-end activities, working closely with external accounting firm &/or auditors to ensure taxes, K-1’s and all other required accounting is completed accurately and timely.
    • Work closely with outside accountants or consultants to maintain records of the company stock program.
    • Work with the executive team to manage and maintain all corporate governance in regard to capitalization tables, structure and board support.
    • Work with the executive team on the budgeting process and participate in forecasting activities. Ensure necessary data flows through to financial reports and documents. Ensure departments are provided with regular budget updates and assist with compliance to approved budget plans.
    • Maintain Fixed Asset records.
    • Support process improvements within Finance on-going.
    • Responsible for providing updates and investor communications.
    • Accurately ensure domestic and international wire transfers are completed in a timely manner.
    • Ensure all record keeping is done in a centralized and secure manner.
    • Work with operations on monthly inventory, valuations, and investigate as needed.
